Young Entrepreneurs, YouTube and the internet
As you will see, I have "blogged" YouTube videos and Coca-Cola adverts.
These are examples of young guys who are following their passion. And making some cash in the process.
The Coke ad agency needed a band: Matthew and SAVE IT FOR THE WEEKEND obliged. The ad is being screened in Russia and Mexico. https://www.facebook.com/#!/SaveItForTheWeekend
Justin and friend Warren decided to have some fun and with a tiny unsophisticated video camera, & spent weekends making videos for YouTube. There intention was to have fun: a by product was it has become profitable! https://www.youtube.com/user/NerdzSquared
Through that exposure, they have been commissioned to travel the country on a youth tour, appear on TV, make ads for YouTube for two international companies and a whole lot more.
Besides the fact that this forum gives me the chance to brag about my offspring, it reminds of the short discussion I had with Peter Carruthers, (www.businesswarriors.co.za) when I asked him what my children should do, career wise. His answer, "Make sure they are educated, to draw on the power of computers and the net!" Wise words indeed.
Through the internet, Justin is recognised walking down the street, Matthew can expose his music to the world, by uploading his compositions to iTunes. His rock band gets bookings via Facebook
So that's why I have blogs about Coca-Cola and Life as a Pizza Boy.

Matthew O'Kelly's, advert for Coca Cola, filmed in Johannesburg for the overseas market. The ad originally shown in South Africa had the wrong demographics for the Russian and Mexican market. Matthew's band, Save it For the Weekend, were chosen as the stars, and the ad aired overseas.
